To create a culture of generosity in the church, it’s helpful to consider people’s personalities and motivations for giving. In this workshop you will learn about people’s giving styles and can personalize your communications with them. Learning “the many faces of generosity” can be a game changer when pastors preach about generosity, when churches communicate in stewardship campaigns, and how leadership engages individuals in giving of their time, talents, and financial gifts. Participants will walk away with not only a better understanding of how to talk about generosity with others, they will also have a deeper understanding of their own giving style.

 

The presenter is Rev. Laura Murphy, an Ordained Elder in the Missouri Conference and Director of Development for the Missouri United Methodist Foundation.
